SWISS WORLDCARGO REORGANIZES AMERICAS MARKET

Swiss WorldCargo will reorganize the way in which it manages the Americas market from October 2017, reducing the region from three to two subdivisions.

Henrik Falk has been appointed as regional manager of western and southern USA and South America, while Michael Ganz will continue to be in charge of northeast and Midwest USA and Canada.

René Brechbuehl, who has been head of southeast USA and South America for the last three years, will be retiring in October after 44 years of service with SWISS and Swissair.

Falk recently joined Swiss WorldCargo and will be based in Atlanta. He was almost 30 years of experience in the air cargo industry. He was previously vice president of North and South America at AirBridgeCargo and has held several other executive roles in Asia, Europe and the US.

Ganz, who joined the Swiss WorldCargo’s American organization two years ago and has previously held several commercial management positions at Swiss WorldCargo and Swisscargo in Zurich, will continue to be based in New York, according to the carrier.
