GSL LAUNCHES GCX SERVICE

Gold Star Line has launched its GCX service, a new connection between China, Pakistan and the Middle East.

 

The service has a port rotation of: Xingang – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Shekou – Da Chan Bay – Port Klang – Colombo – Karachi – Jebel Ali – Colombo – Port Klang – Singapore – Xingang.

 

“This new GCX product is aimed to support the company’s vision to create a strong network for our customer’s increasing demands,” said a GSL spokesperson. “The renewed presence in the Middle East will benefit the market, while strengthening the company’s strategy and its customer-focused approach in Asia.”

 

Six vessels of 5,000 to 6,500 TEUs will be deployed on the service, two of which will be operated by GSL. The first sailing will depart Xingang on November 17, 2017.

 

The GCX service is a joint venture with RCL, TS Line, KMTC and SM Line, according to GSL.
