Seaspan Corporation has taken delivery of the 11,000 TEU MSC Yashi B.

According to Seaspan, the vessel will begin a bareboat charter with Mediterranean Shipping Company for a period of 17 years, after which MSC will be obligated to purchase the vessel for  a pre-determined amount.

The ship was constructed by Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines and is Seaspan’s fifth of five 11,000 TEU SAVER ships chartered to MSC.

The new delivery takes Seaspan’s operating fleet to 90 vessels.
