ANA AND UNITED EXTEND CARGO JV TO JAPAN-MEXICO

ANA Cargo and United Cargo have expanded their trans-Pacific joint venture to include shipments going from Japan to Mexico.

According to ANA, the two carriers will now offer customers an even larger joint network at shorter lead times, with 377 non-stop flights to 16 destinations every week and further flight and truck connections within Canada, Japan, Mexico and the US.

The belly space on ANA’s daily non-stop Boeing 787-8 flight between Tokyo Narita and Mexico City will now also become available for customers of both carriers.

ANA Cargo and United Cargo commenced their trans-Pacific joint venture in July 2016, initially for shipments originating in Japan bound for Canada and the US. The JV was extended to shipments from Canada and the US to Japan in February 2018.

The scope of the JV will continue to be expanded, according to the two carriers.
