DACHSER INAUGURATES NEW SINGAPORE OFFICE

Dachser Singapore has inaugurated its new office at the International Business Park in Jurong District.

Apart from the 46 Dachser Singapore employees based there, the new office is also the base for Dachser Asia Pacific’s key account management team.

The IBP is close to Tuas Megaport, Singapore’s container port specifically designed for new 22,000 TEU vessels.

“Many important business associations and multinational companies strategically position themselves at IBP,” said Frank Stadus [left in photo], managing director of air and sea logistics at Dachser Singapore. “As a global logistics player with German roots, we are now in excellent company. The new location enhances personal dialogue with our customers and significantly contributes to providing excellent service in the Dachser sense.”

Dachser will take advantage of Singapore’s status as a key shipping gateway for Asia Pacific to offer regular less-than-container-load connections within the region, as well as between Asia and Europe. Cross-border trucking will also help drive commerce between Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

“We are on a well-planned track of continuous network development in the economically important ASEAN countries,” said Christophe Vincent, managing director of Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Vietnam. “Our new offices and motivated teams are an important cornerstone for driving the expansion of our service portfolio for the benefit of our customers, like LCL or cross-border trucking.”

Dachser currently employs more than 1,670 people in 49 offices in 11 countries in Asia.
