CARGO 2000 APPOINTS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Ariaen Zimmerman has been appointed executive director of the IATA interest group Cargo 2000, also known as C2K.

 

C2K is a non-profit membership group and was established to lead efforts to achieve enhanced quality in air freight.

Zimmerman will oversee the group’s adoption of a new auditing system, neutral benchmarks, and a smarter and wider approach to data analysis using smart data, according to C2K.

 

He previously worked in senior management roles at Polar Air Cargo and Saudi Airlines Cargo.

 

Other members of the team are Laura Rodriguez, assistant manager, Sebastian Schimers, operations manager, and Phil Sims, secretary to the board.

 

C2K consists of approximately 80 major airlines, freight forwarders, ground-handling agents, trucking companies and IT solution providers across the world.
