G6 SUSPENDS ASIA-NORTH AMERICA SERVICES

The G6 alliance, consisting of APL, Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Nippon Yusen Kaisha and Orient Overseas Container Line, will temporarily be suspending some services in its Asia-North America network as part of its winter programme.

 

For the East Coast of North America, the NYE and SCE services will be combined, according to the alliance.

 

The last eastbound sailing for the NYE service will be in week 44, arriving at Kaohsiung on October 25, 2015, and the last westbound sailing will be in week 48, arriving at Savannah on November 23, 2015.

 

The last eastbound SCE sailing will be in week 43, arriving at Xiamen on October 20, 2015, and the last westbound sailing will be in week 48, arriving at Savannah on November 22, 2015.

 

The combined service will commence in week 44, with an ETA at Xiamen of October 29, 2015. The port rotation will be: Xiamen – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Yantian – Shanghai (Yangshan) – Pusan – Panama Canal – Manzanillo – Kingston – Savannah – Charleston – New York – Norfolk – Jacksonville – Kingston – Manzanillo – Panama Canal – Balboa – Pusan – Xiamen.

 

As for the West Coast, the CC2 service will be suspended from week 44, according to the G6 alliance.

 

The last eastbound sailing will arrive at Ningbo on October 18, 2015, and the last westbound sailing will arrive at Long Beach on November 5, 2015.

 

The Pusan eastbound call will be added into the CC4 service, which will have the rotation of: Shanghai (WaiGaoQiao) – Ningbo – Pusan – Los Angeles – Oakland – Shanghai (WaiGaoQiao).
