WACO ADDS TWO MEMBERS AND PARTNERS WITH QR

Global freight management organization WACO has added Qatar Airways to its preferred carrier scheme and added two new members to its network, at an extraordinary general meeting in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

“Independent forwarders are flexible and offer local expertise and a personalized service,” said Richard Charles, executive director of The WACO System. “Our members offer a bespoke service, and thanks to partnerships with carriers such as Qatar Airways, they deliver a world-class service at competitive prices.”

Under the strategic partnership, Qatar Airways has named members of WACO as preferred forwarders, a collaboration which aims to develop long-term business synergies between the two companies, according to WACO.

The two companies to officially join WACO are Andes Logistics from Bolivia and Spence Maldives from the Maldives.

The new members are part of an ongoing expansion programme, according to WACO, which currently has 107 members in 104 countries.
