DEUGRO MOVES PETROCHEMICAL EQUIPMENT FROM CHINA TO SINGAPORE BY AIR CHARTER

deugro recently delivered 21 metric tons of petrochemical equipment by air freight charter from Shanghai, China to Singapore.

The project freight forwarder said the 225 cubic meters of extremely urgent and time-critical cargo contained equipment for an LPG Treatment Unit (LTU) and a Propylene Recovery Unit (PRU).

In a statement, it said that this took place in cooperation with deugro’s air charter team, deugro China successfully shipped the full air charter from Shanghai, China to Singapore to maintain ongoing production processes.

"The air cargo sector remains heavily affected by the ramifications of Covid-19, meaning the flight options for this shipment were limited. The deugro team worked closely with the airlines to offer its client a suitable charter solution for this time-critical equipment in order to ship it on time and on budget," it said in a statement.

deugro China noted that their team was able to accommodate the urgent refinery consignment on the smaller Airbus A330- 200F aircraft type instead of a Boeing 747F.
