According to Konecranes, the 16-wheeled RTGs will have a lifting capacity of 40LTs, with a 1-over-5 height and a 7-plus-truck-lane width. They will also come equipped with an active load-control system which improves handling performance by eliminating container sway.

“We are proud to once again partner with GCT to provide high-capacity, low-emission, LED cranes,” said Jussi Subhonen, sales director for port cranes in the Americas at Konecranes. “These RTGs are an optimal solution to meet GCT’s stringent dual requirements to ensure safe an enhanced operational performance in the yard.”

The first batch of six cranes will be delivered fully erect in the second quarter of 2016, while the remainder will be delivered in the first quarter of 2017.
