K+N APPOINTS NEW ASIA-PACIFIC HEADS

Kuehne + Nagel has appointed Jens Drewes as its new president of South Asia-Pacific and Wong Siew Loong as the new president of North Asia-Pacific from January 2016.

 

“For Kuehne + Nagel Asia-Pacific is an important region with promising perspectives,” said Detlef Trefzger, CEO of Kuehne + Nagel International AG. “In order to be closer to the customers, in 2013 we established two regional organizational units, North Asia-Pacific and South Asia-Pacific. The company is delighted to have Mr. Wong and Mr. Drewes acting as major drivers for an increasing development of the Kuehne + Nagel business in these regions. We expect both experts to set forward-looking milestones in Asia-Pacific and thus contribute to the overall strength of our company.”

Drewes replaces Alfred Hoffmann and will be based in Singapore. He has been with the company since 1997, having been posted in different countries across Asia. He was appointed as president of North Asia-Pacific in 2013.
