Astral Aviation has tapped UK-based Software as a Service (SaaS) company e-Cargoware to further expand its digital footprint in the market.

e-Cargoware provides core and ancillary cloud-based freight management software services for airlines, general sales agents (GSA)s, ground handling agents (GHA)s, express operators and freight forwarders.

The airline – with its head office in Nairobi, Kenya – has chosen e-Cargoware's FR8Manage – Airline and FR8- Booking solutions for its fleet.

"We are very pleased to work with e-Cargoware and the selection was based on the user-friendly and intuitive FR8Manage – Airline to aid our company's continuing growth," said Sanjeev Gadhia, Astral Aviation, founder & chief executive officer (CEO).

"The key focus for Astral Aviation is to sustain our rapid growth and increase our digital footprint."

Gandhia went on to note that Astral is piloting the system as of September 2022 with FR8Manage – Airline and FR8Booking.
