QATAR AVIATION SERVICES JOINS IATA GROUND HANDLING COUNCIL

Qatar Aviation Services, a subsidiary of Qatar Airways, has joined the International Air Transport Association’s Ground Handling Council, which provides expertise on safe and efficient ground operations.

QAS handles both passengers and cargo. In 2015, the cargo division, which also operates Qatar Airways’ cargo terminal, handled more than 1.2 million tonnes of freight, including 600 horses.

 

QAS passed its IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations in November 2014, according to the company.
