K-Mile Asia will operate charter flights between Thailand and China for SF Express, the largest integrated logistics service provider in China.

The express cargo airline based at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok will operate two flights per week from mid-November between Shenzhen Bao'an (SZX) from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) on behalf of new customer SF using dedicated B737-400 Freighter aircraft.

"This is a proud moment for the team of about 150 people in K-Mile Asia," K Pansith Sasunee, K-Mile Asia's managing director said of the launch of the new charter programme for SF.

"It is a very important step forward as we pursue our growth plans for the airline, and it is a positive statement of our confidence in the future of K-Mile as a leading express parcel cargo operator in Thailand and across Southeast Asia," Sasunee added.

A few weeks earlier, K-Mile also announced that it added a five times per week service between Dhaka Airport (DAC) in Bangladesh to BKK.

K-Mile was established in 2004 and began operations in 2006, providing both scheduled and charter cargo flights.

In addition to its scheduled operations, the airline continues to offer charter flights across its network, serving Thailand, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Singapore.

K-Mile operates a fleet of two Boeing 737-800 BCFs and three Boeing 737-400Fs. It is partly owned by Paris-Charles de Gaulle-based carrier, ASL Airlines.
