EGYPTAIR CARGO RESUMES EGYPT-US FLIGHTS AFTER LONG HIATUS

EgyptAir Cargo has resumed flights to the United States after an eight-year break, according to Egypt's Ministry of Civil Aviation.

In the announcement, Egypt noted that this follows the completion of comprehensive inspections and a review of security measures by the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at Cairo International Airport, as well as for EgyptAir passenger and cargo flights.

A press release issued by the Ministry of Civil Aviation noted that the clearance means that all types of shipments can now be flown by EgyptAir Cargo to the US.

EgyptAir Cargo noted that the TSA delegation noted improved security, safety and insurance measures taken by Cairo International Airport and EgyptAir.

Lieutenant General Mohamed Abbas Helmy, minister of Civil Aviation noted that the Ministry of Aviation is keen to implement all additional security measures within the civil aviation work system, as well as securing individuals, facilities and flights at the highest levels.

He explained that security personnel in different work sites undergo continuous training to achieve a high level of proficiency in all security specialities. This allows them to carry out security procedures with precision and ensure the safety of all individuals within the Egyptian civil aviation sector in compliance with international standards and specifications.
