He will also be responsible for managing key customer relationships worldwide and identifying opportunities in new locations.

“This is a great opportunity to work closely with our international network of GSA partners,” said Ellis. “They are important members of our global team and are all very experienced and professional cargo sales organisations that share our passion for great customer service. I am looking forward to getting to know them all and helping them to achieve their targets.”

Ellis has been working at Virgin Atlantic Cargo for six years. He was previously the regional sales manager for Continental Europe and drove a significant increase in the airline’s European business.

“Our GSA partners play a very important role in our global business, generating around a quarter of our annual sales revenues,” said John Lloyd, senior vice president of cargo at Virgin Atlantic. “Ryan is therefore taking a very important role to ensure they achieve the results we need them to attain alongside providing the highest levels of customer service. He will make sure our GSA partners have the training and support they need to deliver the best possible results for Virgin Atlantic Cargo.”
