Global shipping schedule reliability remained unchanged month-on-month (M/M) in October at 64.4%, according to a new Sea-Intelligence report.
It said that barring the increase in May, schedule reliability has been ranging within two percentage points since March 2023.
On a year-on-year (Y/Y) level, schedule reliability was 12.6 percentage points higher.
Sea-Intelligence noted that the average delay for late vessel arrivals continues to creep up, increasing by 0.33 days M/M to 4.90 days.
"With the M/M decrease, the average delay for late vessel arrivals is now on a similar trajectory to what we saw during the same time period in 2020," commented Alan Murphy, CEO of Sea-Intelligence.
