“Cambodia is thriving and leading the pack as a key emerging market in Asia – one that DHL Global Forwarding is committed to grow with as the region powers the world’s economy,” said Wu. “We expect to see increasing demand for logistics services, as trade continues to flourish. I look forward to leading a passionate team that’s dedicated to paving the way for DHL’s market leadership and success here.”

According to Blanc, Cambodia is one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia, with growth driven by garment exports, real estate and construction.

“There are yet more opportunities for further development on the horizon, with the economy projected to grow further by 7.2% in 2016,” said Blanc. “Initiatives such as the ASEAN Economic Community will also open up markets for the free flow of goods, capital and labour. We are very pleased to have Oliver join the team as DHL Global Forwarding continues to establish its footprint here. With more than 10 years of experience in freight forwarding, Oliver has the strategic insights that would be invaluable as we grow our business in tandem with the country.”
