EMIRATES TO FLY 777 TO TUNISIA

Emirates will upgrade its Tunis flight to a Boeing 777-300 from June 2, 2016.

 

The larger aircraft will replace the current Airbus A340-300 and will offer up to 23 tonnes of cargo capacity per flight.

According to SkyCargo, Emirates’ cargo division, some of the main products it carries out of Tunis include fruits and vegetables, fresh and frozen seafood, electronics, truffles and dates.

 

The airline began flying to Tunis in October 2006, and has since transported more than 50,000 tonnes of cargo to and from the city.

 

The flight is now operated five times a week, with the return flight being routed via Malta.
