TIANJIN'S CROSS-BORDER E-COMMERCE TRADE TOPS US$5B IN 2023

North China's port city of Tianjin reported a total cross-border e-commerce foreign trade volume of 35.6 billion yuan (about US$5.01 billion) in 2023, up by 16.72% year on year.

 

State media, citing data from the municipal bureau of commerce, said during the period, the city's cross-border e-commerce imports reached 6.83 billion yuan, up by 12.06% year on year, while exports hit 28.77 billion yuan, marking a year-on-year growth of 17.89%.

 

Going ahead, Xinhua said Tianjin will focus on promoting the construction of the China (Tianjin) cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone, support more foreign trade enterprises in traditional industries and manufacturing, accelerate their restructuring and upgrading, and expand their markets through cross-border e-commerce trade.
