PSA BDP is accelerating its Southeast Asia growth with its announcement of a new office in the Philippines.
The provider of integrated and port-centric supply chain, transportation, and logistics solutions said its first office in the Philippines will be located in Paranaque City.
This newest office, PSA BDP Philippines, Inc., marks PSA BDP's 140th global location, and Doods de Vera, the country's general manager, will lead all aspects of the Philippine operation.
"With the Philippines serving as a key market for production and manufacturing, this expansion reinforces PSA BDP's global growth strategy to have a presence in major markets where its diverse array of customers operates to provide enhanced solutions and greater connectivity," the announcement said.
The Philippines is a founding member of the Association of Southeast Asia Nations (ASEAN), which has many free trade agreements (FTAs) with neighbouring key economies like China, India, and Japan.
PSA BDP said its further investment in Southeast Asia expands its global network, elevates connectivity and demonstrates the importance of this market for continued trade and supply chain growth.
"Strategically positioned between Manila's airport and seaport, PSA BDP Philippines will improve supply chain flows for customers within the chemical, retail & consumer, life sciences & pharmaceuticals, and electric vehicle & industrial sectors," it added.
PSA BDP in the Philippines will offer export air and ocean freight forwarding, customs brokerage, import services, project & heavy lifts, trucking & haulage, LLP, 4PL, and warehousing & distribution.
Gary Chan, managing director of Asia Pacific at PSA BDP, said the Philippines serves as a "key hub" for economic and trade growth.
"Our team is thrilled to bring PSA BDP's presence to our customers in this region. This new office will mark the company's 50th office in Asia," he said.
"Our team of experts is ready to embark on this new chapter of delivering exceptional end-to-end supply chain solutions that provide value and create sustainable growth for current customers while simultaneously unlocking opportunities for new partnerships," Chan added.
