"A strong and diverse Board has proven beneficial to the transformation of the association over the last few years. The appointment of these new Board Members will not only ensure that we remain agile and relevant but will also provide the Board with a fresh perspective," said Steven Polmans, chair of TIACA.
Glyn Hughes, director general of TIACA, noted that 2024 is a "critical year" for the organisation and having strong leadership in place is "vital to the association" as it continues to grow and invest in programs that support the industry, such as BlueSky, Invest in Climate Action and the Air Cargo Training Library.
Aside from planning for the latest edition of the Air Cargo Forum in Miami on November 11-14, Hughes said the Board has tasked the Secretariat with continuing to expand TIACA programs that "tackle industry challenges through a united voice to enhance a safe, efficient, and robust air cargo industry."
The TIACA announcement said, "The association currently has a full Board seat allocation with one vacancy, as we have reserved a seat for a representative of the Shipper community."
It noted that additional seats may become available as current Board terms end.
