Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT), a subsidiary of SATS Ltd (SATS), and SATS HK Limited (SATSHK), a joint venture between Hong Kong Airlines Ltd and SATS, have established a comprehensive partnership with DHL Air Capacity Sales (DHL ACS), the commercial division of DHL Aviation that manages airport-to-airport cargo capacity across its global network, at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
Building on SATS' ongoing partnership handling DHL network carriers at Singapore's Changi Airport, the announcement said this collaboration combines AAT's cargo knowledge and SATSHK's ground handling capabilities to strengthen Hong Kong's position as a key air cargo hub.
The partnership started in January 2025, with AAT managing cargo operations for key DHL network carriers. Since then, they have coordinated over 50 weekly freighter operations, while SATSHK provides efficient ramp handling to support these operations.
AAT is responsible for a range of cargo handling services, including documentation and specialized solutions. SATSHK handles aspects like passenger processing and baggage services. Both organizations aim to ensure reliable service for their airline customers at HKIA.

"We are delighted to partner with AAT & SATSHK in Hong Kong, further extending our successful cooperation with SATS in Asia. We look forward to their innovative solutions playing a key role in delivering excellent service quality levels, which we pride ourselves on providing our customers throughout our global network," said Paul Ennis, VP of ACS Global Operations at DHL.
Bob Chi, CEO of Gateway Services Asia Pacific, SATS, noted that this partnership with DHL to serve their largest twin hubs in Asia Pacific at Hong Kong and Singapore is a "significant milestone" for SATS in its aim to deliver end-to-end air cargo logistics solutions to its airline customers and the global air cargo industry.
"The appointment of AAT and SATSHK demonstrates DHL's strong endorsement of our commitment and ability to provide innovative, integrated solutions that enhance operational efficiency and service quality," he said.
"By serving DHL's network carriers, we strengthen our capabilities in supporting global air cargo movements through Hong Kong while leveraging our extensive experience and network spanning more than 215 locations in 27 countries worldwide. We sincerely thank DHL for their strong support and confidence in expanding this partnership," Chi added.
The collaboration also seeks to further enhance the role of HKIA's role as an important air cargo hub.
