ANA REPORTS HIGHER CARGO TONNAGE IN THE FIRST NINE MONTHS OF 2024
February 19, 2025

ANA Holdings Inc. has reported its financial results for the nine months ended December 31, 2024, showing growth in both cargo and passenger performance.

For international cargo, ANA said both weights and revenues were up from the same period of the previous year due to strong demand from Asia and China to North America, as well as a moderate recovery in demand to/from Japan, mainly automobile-related cargo.

"ANA worked to ensure profitability of the route network by adjusting the routes and capacity of freighters in response to trends, as well as by operating airline charters from August," it added.

The new cargo facility at Narita Airport, which began operating in October, also boosted airfreight performance during this period.

ANA said in addition to improving operational efficiency by consolidating facilities and introducing "Automated guided vehicles (AGV)," ANA will also enhance international competitiveness by improving quality through the expansion of temperature control facilities and other measures.
