ROYAL JORDANIAN CARGO MARKS 35 YEARS OF MAASTRICHT AIRPORT OPERATION
February 21, 2025

Royal Jordanian Cargo is marking 35 years of operations at Maastricht Aachen Airport (MST).

The Jordanian airline currently operates 3 to 4 full freighter flights a week to the expanding Dutch air cargo hub at MST as the air cargo industry sees growing demand for capacity.

"The choice for Maastricht Aachen Airport was, and still is, crystal clear. The speed, service, and trust at the airport are of an exceptionally high level. Add to that the airport's accessibility and the friendly staff, and you simply don’t want anything else," said Ibrahim Theodory, station manager, Royal Jordanian Maastricht.

To boost the airport's performance, MST has been investing in its facilities to boost the work of its cargo team, alongside an investment of 40% by Royal Schiphol Group in the airport as it looks to expand its operations to the well-connected cargo hub at MST.

"We are incredibly proud of this long-term partnership with Royal Jordanian. Every day, our team is very dedicated to give Royal Jordanian and all of our other client's custom-made cargo handling services," Dean Boljuncic, head of commercial development at Maastricht Aachen Airport.

In 2024, MST recorded an on-time performance of over 98% for its cargo handling operations, surpassing the industry benchmark for a good performance, currently at 95%.
