DHL PARTNERS WITH ESYMS FOR MEDICINE DISTRIBUTION IN MALAYSIA
March 31, 2025

Esyms, an online pharmacy and health solutions provider, has teamed up with DHL eCommerce to improve the delivery of medications from hospitals and clinics to patients in Malaysia.

Esyms will utilize DHL eCommerce's knowledge in parcel delivery and returns logistics. This collaboration will help Esyms assist partner hospitals and clinics in providing patients with their medications more efficiently and safely at their convenience.

The partnership integrates DHL eCommerce’s logistics services with Esyms' AllMeds app, designed to streamline pharmacy operations and reduce counter congestion at healthcare facilities. Through the AllMeds app, patients can upload prescriptions, make secure payments, receive notifications, and track their orders delivered by DHL eCommerce.

DHL eCommerce said in a statement that the collaboration aligns with Malaysia's push to enhance public healthcare through digital innovation and efficient distribution systems. DHL will use its expedited lane service to prioritize time-sensitive medical deliveries.

"The life sciences and healthcare sector demands very specialized logistics solutions, innovation, and new ideas to improve patient outcomes and deliver next-level healthcare," said Saurabh Kumar, managing director of DHL eCommerce Malaysia.

"DHL eCommerce is proud to partner with Esyms Group and offer our expertise in first and last-mile delivery to help address the persistent challenge of long waiting times for medication collection. Equally, we are confident that this partnership will deliver a positive impact to the healthcare sector and inspire even more collaboration to drive change," he added.

Esyms CEO Lam Wee Yong highlighted the value of the partnership in improving last-mile delivery.

"By securing a government project involving public healthcare facilities, Esyms continues to drive innovation in pharmacy care through strategic partnerships that address the actual needs of customers and healthcare facilities. AllMeds is a value-added service that complements existing practices in hospitals, empowering pharmacies to deliver more efficient and accessible care while enhancing patient outcomes."

"The collaboration with DHL Ecommerce can significantly enhance the last-mile delivery process, bringing a much-needed difference to the healthcare sector."

DHL said the initiative reflects a growing focus on using technology and logistics to tackle challenges in Malaysia's healthcare sector, aiming to improve accessibility and patient care.
