MOBULL UNVEILS NEW ART WAREHOUSE IN BRUSSELS
May 16, 2025

Belgian art logistics company Mobull, part of Hasenkamp Group, is advancing its growth strategy with the construction of a state-of-the-art art warehouse at its Brussels site. The company has also expanded its operations to Antwerp through a recent acquisition.

In a statement, Mobull said the new art warehouse in Brussels measures 4,000 square meters, comprises five floors, each with 800 square meters of space.

The new warehouse building is scheduled for completion in February 2026.

Mobull noted that this means an additional 4,000 square meters of climate-controlled storage space to meet the growing demand for professional and secure art storage.

Once completed, the building will provide space for art logistics-related services. A showroom and a restoration studio will also be set up.

"With this range, we are responding in a functional and visionary way to the requirements of our Belgian customers," says Marc Maertens, managing director of Mobull.

Particular emphasis was placed on sustainability and energy efficiency during the planning phase.

Mobull noted that the building is heated with geothermal energy, has solar panels on the roof and is equipped with an innovative gas extinguishing system that displaces oxygen in the event of a fire without causing damage from extinguishing water.

Mobull takes over art logistics company "Scheck"

Meanwhile, Oo April 1, 2025, Mobull also took over the Antwerp-based art logistics company Scheck.

It said that the team remains the same and the company now operates under the name Mobull Antwerp — and the aim is to strengthen its presence on the growing Antwerp art market, which is characterized by numerous museums, galleries and private collections.

"Although Brussels and Antwerp are only an hour apart, our service in Antwerp was often not competitive in terms of price. With the new location, we are closer to our customers - both geographically and economically," Maertens said.

Hasenkamp Group continues to expand its presence in European art logistics with new investments aimed at strengthening regional operations. The company's infrastructure upgrades and service expansion position it as a key provider for museums, galleries, and collectors across Europe and beyond.
