Jettainer has launched JettCare, a programme raising awareness for the value and importance of air freight containers and pallets.
“The JettCare programme is enabling us to invest in sustainable ULD management and conserve resources,” said Carsten Hernig, managing director of Jettainer. “By creating awareness in ground-handling staff, we will also reduce costs, which will, in turn, benefit our customers.”
According to Jettainer, the programme involves training several thousand ground services staff to handle ULDs correctly, prevent damage, and understand the operational and financial effects of faulty or missing ULDs.
Containers will also feature stickers with JettJack, Jettainer’s mascot, and other comic-style callouts drawing attention to the proper handling of ULDs. Two airlines will initially be involved in a trial run before the stickers are rolled out to other customers, according to Jettainer.
