The supervisory board at Lufthansa Cargo has unanimously agreed to extend CEO Peter Gerber’s contract to April 30, 2022.

Gerber, who is also chairman of the executive board, has been in his position since May 2014.

He was previously on the executive board of Lufthansa’s passenger business, where he was head of the human resources, IT and services division. He was also board member for finance and human resources at Lufthansa Cargo from 2009 to 2012.

A comprehensive restructuring process has recently begun to achieve a sustainable increase in the carrier’s profitability, according to Lufthansa Cargo.
