Hactl has introduced the electronic Shipment Release Form (eSRF) at its SuperTerminal 1 to offer a seamless, contactless, and fully digital cargo collection process to airline customers and freight forwarders across the supply chain.
This initiative is part of the Import Air Cargo Collection Digitalization Module on the Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) Cargo Data Platform, which aims at enhancing the user experience within the HKIA cargo handling community.
The eSRF enables freight forwarders to submit documents and complete the cargo release process online before arriving at ST1.
By integrating data sharing between the HKIA Cargo Data Platform and Hactl's COSAC-Plus system, freight forwarders can retrieve eligible shipments at Hactl's Automated Service Kiosks (ASKs) and complete cargo clearance on-site.
Hactl noted that this digital approach significantly reduces the reliance on traditional paper-based forms and minimizes physical dwell times at the terminal. Additionally, the eSRF incorporates e-payment options, offering greater convenience and efficiency to freight forwarders.
