Turkish Airlines has signed a three-year agreement with Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) to provide cargo and ground handling services at two major U.S. gateways—Miami International Airport (MIA) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).
Operations under the contract began at MIA on July 17, 2025, and are scheduled to start at JFK on August 1, 2025.
At MIA's Building 707, WFS is managing cargo handling, mail processing, and ramp services. At JFK's Building 260, the company will oversee cargo and ramp operations.
The agreement supports Turkish Airlines' scheduled freighter operations, which include four weekly flights at MIA — handling an estimated 18,250 tonnes annually — and three weekly flights at JFK, expected to process around 36,000 tonnes per year. WFS will handle a mix of A330F and B747/777F aircraft at both locations.
"We are pleased to expand our partnership with Turkish Airlines across these two strategic US gateways," said Frank Clemente, senior vice president of cargo and express for North America at WFS.
"This contract reinforces our commitment to delivering the reliable, high-quality ground handling services that support Turkish Airlines’ growing cargo network in North America."
The new contract builds on WFS's existing relationship with Turkish Airlines, which already includes cargo handling services at seven other North American airports, including Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Seattle, Houston, and Washington Dulles.
Turkish Airlines cited WFS's global reach, service quality, competitive pricing, and strong industry ties as key factors in its selection.
The airline said the agreement reflects its confidence in WFS's ability to maintain consistent and dependable operations across multiple locations.
WFS, a member of the SATS Group, provides ground handling and cargo services to airlines worldwide, with a focus on operational safety, efficiency, and customer service.
