Frankfurt Airport handled 179,543 metric tonnes of cargo in October 2025, marking a slight year-on-year decline of 0.1%, according to airport operator Fraport (FRA).

Month-on-month, however, last month's tonnage was higher than the 170,505 metric tonnes in September for a month-over-month increase of 5.3%.

FRA suggested that while annual growth remains flat, monthly volumes rebounded sharply.

It said that the October uptick may reflect recovery from disruptions tied to China's Golden Week earlier in the month, which had temporarily slowed international cargo flows.
