Frankfurt Airport saw increased cargo volumes in November largely due to stronger global demand, resilient ecommerce flows, and increased Asian exports.
Currently the busiest cargo airport in Europe, handling more freight than any other European hub, Frankfurt Airport reported an increase of 4.7% in cargo volumes — comprising airmail and airfreight — year-on-year to 186,692 metric tons in November, according to airport operator Fraport (FRA).

Month-on-month, November's cargo volume was also higher than the 179,543 metric tonnes reported in October 2025, reflecting the buildup to the year-end holiday rush of goods.
FRA said aircraft movements for November also rose by 4.0% to 36,237 takeoffs and landings.
Accumulated maximum takeoff weights (MTOWs) grew by 2.5% to approximately 2.3 million metric tons.
