January 8, 2026

CMA CGM has launched a new block‑train solution in Mexico that connects six of its global maritime services to inland hubs on both coasts, offering four weekly departures and five‑day transit times on key corridors.

The carrier said the dedicated rail service provides guaranteed weekly capacity, reduced dwell times at port terminals, and direct links from the Pacific and Gulf coasts to major inland destinations.

"You benefit from predictable and faster inland transit times of 5 days on key corridors from Lázaro Cárdenas, Manzanillo, and Veracruz to Mexico City, Cuautitlán, Tula, and Guadalajara," the French shipping line said.

CMA CGM added that the block-chain solution in Mexico connects to major industrial and commercial zones.

The fully-integrated port-and-rail product also provides guaranteed weekly capacity from Manzanillo and Lazaro Cardenas.

The main rail routes include Mexico City, Cuautitlan, Tula, and Guadalajara, with no congestion.
