AMAZON’S LOGISTICS NETWORK TO POWER SAME‑DAY PHARMACY DELIVERY IN 4,500 US CITIES
February 11, 2026

Amazon Pharmacy plans to extend its same‑day prescription delivery service to nearly 4,500 U.S. cities and towns by the end of 2026.

The expansion will broaden access to fast medication delivery for customers in states where pharmacy closures, staffing shortages and transportation barriers have limited care availability.

John Love, vice president, Amazon Pharmacy, said by combining Amazon's pharmacy knowledge and its logistics network, the company is able to remove critical barriers and help move medication faster to areas where its needed.

Faster medication delivery

Amazon Pharmacy said customers saw faster delivery times across a range of communities in 2025, from dense urban areas served by e‑bikes to suburban neighborhoods using electric vehicles and remote locations reached by ferries and horses.

In Los Angeles some patients were also able to collect prescriptions within minutes through pharmacy kiosks.

Amazon Pharmacy said it will continue expanding in-person kiosk access across additional locations in 2026.

Amazon Pharmacy says its delivery network now reaches far beyond major metropolitan areas, offering faster prescription shipping to remote communities. In areas where the nearest pharmacy can be nearly an hour away and traditional mail‑order services may take up to ten days, it added that many of its customers are receiving medications the next day or within two to three days through Amazon's logistics network.

As the company expands same‑day delivery to more markets, customers in all 50 states and Washington, D.C. continue to have prescriptions shipped to their homes, with most deliveries arriving within one to three days.
