KUEHNE+NAGEL ACQUIRES LOHMÖLLER'S ROAD LOGISTICS BUSINESS IN GERMANY
March 2, 2026

Kuehne+Nagel has acquired the road logistics operations of LSL‑Lohmöller Spedition und Logistik, adding the German groupage, LTL and FTL provider to its network and following last year's purchase of TDN in Spain.

Lohmöller, founded in 1930, is a family‑run forwarder with deep regional roots in north‑west Germany and a growing emphasis on digital processes. The company generated about EUR 23.5 million in road‑freight revenue in 2024, reflecting steady activity in a region with strong industrial demand.

The acquisition further enhances Kuehne+Nagel's domestic road freight network in Germany as well as its broader European footprint, with 142 logistics specialists and fifty trucks joining the established network.

It also strengthens Kuehne+Nagel's position within IDS, one of German'’s largest groupage freight cooperations, with Lohmöller having joined IDS already earlier in 2026.

Meanwhile, Kuehne+Nagel said the contract logistics activities and industry-related services of Lohmöller are not part of the acquisition and will remain with the current owners.

The completion of the transaction is subject to closing conditions and is expected in March.

Hansjörg Rodi, executive vice president, Road Logistics, Kuehne+Nagel, said with Lohmöller, the company welcomes a team that shares its commitment to customer-proximity and qualitative services supported by technology and sustainability.

Benedikt Lohmöller, representing Lohmöller, added: "Thanks to our long-standing partnership in the international logistics space established in 2018, both companies are well-acquainted and have developed a mutual appreciation. We are fully aligned in our commercial approach and share the same values, particularly regarding our relationships with customers and employees, which makes this collaboration an excellent fit."
