IAG Cargo has launched Critical, its new emergency shipment service.
The product, which will be available from October 3, 2016, will ensure that emergency shipments are guaranteed to fly on the service booked, becoming IAG Cargo’s first major non-offloadable product.
According to IAG, several customers in the aerospace and high-tech sectors have already signed up to the new service.
“We understand the pressure our freight forwarders and supply chain partners come under when a customer demands that a shipment must move that day,” said David Shepherd, commercial director at IAG Cargo. “Until now we have not had a product that fully satisfies this unique need, with short cut off times and non-offloadable status, we can now meet the exact demands for shipments that simply must fly.”
The Critical service will be available across the whole IAG network, with a dedicated monitoring service through the London Heathrow, Madrid and Dublin hubs. A dedicated check-in desk will also be available at London Heathrow and Madrid, according to IAG.
