ZIM will launch an additional service between Asia and the Pacific Northwest on October 25, 2016.

The new China Express Northwest service will have a port rotation of: Xingang – Qingdao – Shanghai – Prince Rupert – Xingang.

“ZIM is proud to add Prince Rupert to its portfolio of services in the Pacific Northwest,” said Nissim Yochai, vice president of trans-Pacific trade. “We continue to develop, improve and respond to customer needs on this this strategic trade.”

CEN is the only Pacific Northwest service in the market to call directly at Xingang, and offers CN rail connectivity at Prince Rupert to inland destinations in Canada and the US, according to ZIM.
