APL has expanded its network with new intra-Asia and Asia-Middle East services.
In the intra-Asia trade, the carrier has upgraded its Japan Thailand 2 service with seven additional ports of call, and has introduced a Japan Taiwan 6 service.
“APL is committed to keep levelling up our shipping services and market connectivity so that our customers can better access existing and new markets with ease, reliability and speed,” said Tonnie Lim, head of intra-Asia trade at APL. “It is noteworthy that the two weekly short-sea services will call the major transhipment hubs of Hong Kong and Kaohsiung, enabling our Asian shippers to plug into APL’s wider network for global connectivity.”
The upgraded JT2 service will have a port rotation of: Osaka – Kobe – Nagoya – Yokohama – Tokyo – Keelung – Taichung – Kaohsiung – Hong Kong – Shekou – Laem Chabang – Bangkok. The first sailing will be on December 2, 2016 from Bangkok.
The new JT6 service will have a port rotation of: Kaohsiung – Osaka – Kobe – Tokyo – Yokohama – Xiamen – Hong Kong – Nansha – Shekou – North and South Manila. The first sailing will be on December 2, 2016 from Kaohsiung.
In the Asia-Middle East trade, APL has launched its Red Sea Express 2 service, connecting China to three Red Sea ports.
The RE2 service will have a port rotation of: Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaohsiung – Shekou – Port Klang – Jeddah – Sokhna – Aqaba – Djibouti – Singapore. The first sailing will be on November 14, 2016 from Shanghai.
