Sino-Global Shipping America, Ltd. and China Ocean Shipping Agency Qingdao Co., Ltd. have signed a strategic cooperation agreement under which COSCO Qingdao will use the Sino-Global logistic platform for the transport of its container shipments into the US.

According to Sino-Global, the agreement expands its ongoing partnership with COSCO and will strengthen the company’s presence in areas such as Shandong province, Ningbo, Xiamen and Guangzhou.

“We continue to seek strategic partnerships and joint venture opportunities that will expand the company’s reach and reinforce our long-term strategic vision of becoming a global logistics services provider,” said Lei Cao, chief executive officer of Sino-Global. “We look forward to growing our cooperative efforts with COSCO and to entering into similar partnerships with other local subsidiaries.”

Sino-Global will receive a percentage of the total transportation fee in exchange for arranging inland transportation services for COSCO Qingdao’s containers arriving at US ports.

COSCO Qingdao is part of COSCO International Freight Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Ocean Shipping (Group) Company and China COSCO Holdings Company Limited specializing in international freight forwarding, shipping agency and supply chain services.
