Etihad Cargo has taken delivery of its fifth Airbus A330-200F, its 10^th freighter aircraft overall.

The carrier launched 10 freighter routes and transported 602,026 tonnes of cargo in 2016.

“If you think about where we started and when I came in 2006, the airline turned over US$300 million,” said James Hogan, president and CEO of the Etihad Aviation Group, speaking  giving the welcome address at the 11^th IATA World Cargo Symposium in Abu Dhabi. “Today, the cargo business in its own right is a business that generates in excess of US$1 billion.”

Etihad now has a freighter fleet of five A330-200Fs and five Boeing 777Fs, with another 777F scheduled to arrive in 2018.
