APL has expanded its Asia-North America network with the launch of the Japan Express services and its intra-Asia network with the China Southeast Asia 5 service.
According to APL, the JPX service offers a weekly connection between Japan and the US West Coast.
“With direct connectivity between Japan and the US, the JPX service will be synonymous with competitive transit time that is as fast as a 10-day transit from Sendai to Los Angeles,” said Jesper Stenbak, senior vice president of trans-Pacific trade at APL. “Together with APL’s comprehensive portfolio of trans-Pacific services that is set to be enhanced under the Ocean Alliance this April, APL is delighted to offer our shippers with more compelling shipping options.”
Port rotation will be: Kobe – Nagoya – Tokyo – Sendai – Los Angeles – Oakland – Tokyo – Nagoya – Kobe.
The first sailing will depart Kobe on April 5, 2017.
The new CS5 service is a weekly connection between North and Central China, Korea, Taiwan and the Philippines.
Port rotation will be: Xingang – Qingdao – Busan (HNCT) – Busan (HBCT) – Shanghai – Kaohsiung – Manila (South) – Manila (North) – Xingang.
The first sailing will depart from Xingang on April 9, 2017.
