CMA CGM KERGUELEN CHRISTENED AT LE HAVRE

CMA CGM’s newest and largest ship, the Kerguelen, has been christened at HAROPA’s Port of Le Havre.

 

The Kerguelen is the world’s third largest container vessel, with a capacity of 17,722 teus. It was manufactured by Samsung Heavy Industries and is the first of six same-sized ships to be acquired by CMA CGM this year.

Delivered on March 31, 2015 in South Korea, the Kerguelen crossed the Suez Canal on May 2, 2015 on its way to Le Havre. It is slated to serve the French Asia Line which connects Europe to Asia via 11 countries.
