Emirates SkyCargo will be able to offer a capacity of up to 23 tonnes per flight. The flight to the capital of the Emilia-Romagna Region in northern Italy is expected to carry leather goods, garments, footwear and perishables, according to the airline, while the return flight will carry Italian cosmetics, construction equipment and machinery, automotive spare parts and handicrafts.

The new flight will be operated with a Boeing 777-300ER, departing Dubai International Airport at 08:45 every day and arriving at Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport at 12:20. The return flight leaves Bologna at 14:40 and arrives back in Dubai at 23:30.

Bologna will be Emirates’ fourth destination in Italy. The airline operates triple daily flights to both Rome and Milan, a daily flight to Venice, and a daily flight to New York via Milan. Emirates SkyCargo also flies a dedicated freighter to Milan from Dubai's Al Maktoum International Airport.
