Hong Kong Airlines has launched its non-stop flight between Hong Kong and Los Angeles.

The new flight is operated four times a week with an Airbus A350-900.

“The launch of our new service to Los Angeles represents another step of our transition from a regional carrier to a global airline,” said Tang King Shing, vice chairman of Hong Kong Airlines.

Hong Kong Airlines received its first A350-900 in September 2017 and currently has three, with 18 more on order.

Los Angeles is the airline’s second destination in North America, following the launch of a daily flight to Vancouver with an A330-200 in June.

Hong Kong Airlines also plans to launch flights to San Francisco and New York with its A350s in 2018.
