CARGOLUX LAUNCHES TURKMENBASHI

Cargolux has started operating scheduled flights to Turkmenbashi International Airport in Turkmenistan.
The flight will be operated four times every week with a Boeing 747-8F, twice from Luxembourg and twice from Hong Kong.
Cargolux will collaborate with Turkmenistan Airlines to increase the number of cargo destinations both airlines can offer to customers, according to a statement.
The city of Turkmenbashi on the Caspian Sea is the country’s only major seaport, and is Cargolux’s fifth destination in Central Asia, on top of Almaty, Baku, Novosibirsk and Tbilisi.
Cargolux operates a fleet of 12 Boeing 747-400Fs and 12 Boeing 747-8Fs.
