May 3, 2018

Worldwide Flight Services has signed new cargo-handling contracts with Air China and Royal Jordanian Airlines at Copenhagen Airport.

From May 30, 2018, WFS will begin handling cargo carried onboard Air China’s five-weekly Airbus A330 passenger flight connecting Copenhagen with Beijing. WFS expects to handle around 10 tonnes on each flight.

From June 2018, WFS will also handle cargo for Royal Jordanian when the airline launches a three-weekly A320 flight from Amman.

WFS has just begun its contract at Copenhagen with Cathay Pacific, which has commenced a seasonal thrice-weekly A350-900 service from Hong Kong.

“We have a very efficient cargo operation in Copenhagen and a reputation for meeting our customers’ individual service needs,” said Marc Claesen, regional vice president of WFS. “This, combined with WFS’ strong network of stations across Europe and the advantages this creates for transit shipments to other destinations, is why we are able to continue to gain the support of leading airlines such as Air China, Cathay Pacific and Royal Jordanian. Our team in Copenhagen look forward to meeting each airline’s expectations for the highest possible levels of safety, security and service that WFS is known for.”

WFS extended its service offering for airline customers in Copenhagen with the opening of a new temperature-controlled facility for pharmaceuticals at the end of 2017.
