United Arab Shipping Company has achieved the ISO 27001 certification for its information security management system, which secures and protects the company’s financial, legal, personal and employee data, and all data entrusted by third parties.

“UASC has always considered information security as a key priority,” said Waleed Al Dawood, chief operating officer of UASC. “Protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of critical information in line with international best practices reiterates that data security remains central to our operations.”

The ISO 27001 certification, which sets out standards to help organizations keep their information assets secure, coves all processes controlling how business is conducted and how services are delivered to customers.
