ZIM has appointed Saar Dotan as its new executive vice president of countries and business development from June 1, 2018, replacing Rafael Ben Ari, vice president of shipping.
According to ZIM, Dotan joined ZIM in 2005 and held several senior positions, most recently vice president of global sales and executive vice president of sales and customer service.
Dotan will be replaced by Yair Teitelbaum effective September 1, 2018.
Teitelbaum will be joining the shipping line from Colmobil Corporation, where he has been senior director of Mitsubishi Motors Israel Division since 2015. Before that he held various senior positions at Partner Communications Ltd. between 1998 and 2014, including head of the sales division for the private and business sectors.
ZIM has also appointed Assaf Tiran as vice president of global customer service, effective immediately. Tiran brings with him 20 years of experience in customer service, having led the service function in a global organization for the past three years.
“Saar brings with him vast experience in the shipping industry and a solid expertise in business and commercial processes and sales,” said Eli Glickman, president and CEO of ZIM. “I would like to take this opportunity and to thank Rafael Ben Ari for his dedication and contribution to the company. During his tenure, he led essential business initiatives for ZIM with great success through challenging business periods. I would also like to welcome Yair to ZIM. I wish them all success in their new positions.”
