Hermes Logistics Technologies has appointed Jacek Lechocki as its new head of products and services.
According to HLT, Lechocki will lead the company’s cargo and quality control teams, and be responsible for the Cargo PM, Product PM and help desk services. He will also be in charge of cargo sales efforts among other areas of the business.
“As a commercial aviation enthusiast, I am very excited to be joining HLT at a time when adoption of latest technologies can drive significant efficiencies and competitive advantage for customers,” said Lechocki. “My fascination with air cargo started at British Airways World Cargo, where I managed the global customer engagement programme for the adoption of electronic messaging and barcoding, as part of the new business transformation. Subsequently, I managed a portfolio of commercial and services e-business projects, including e-bookings, Cargo 2000 development and accreditation and electronic messaging and customer connections, as well as participating in IATA working groups for development of Cargo 2000, eAWB and XML data standards.”
The cargo management systems provider is headquartered in the UK and began the global rollout of its new H5 system earlier this year. H5 is capable of running within any cloud and modernizes the Hermes framework for seamless integration with new technologies.
“We have begun upgrading our customers to the new version of our cargo management and hub management systems, a process that involves, in brief, demos, release documentation and testing,” said Yuval Baruch, chief executive officer of HLT. “Our team of tech experts has already commenced the development of Hermes NG, a native cloud-developed suite of products, offering increased value in addition to the great functionality of Hermes at its core. We are thrilled to welcome Jacek to the team, who brings with him a wealth of project and product management expertise from the engineering, cargo, marketing, telecommunications and fast-moving consumer goods industries.”
